Manaslu Circuit Trek in Gorkha Region:

Manaslu Trekking is an off-the-beaten-path trekking area in the Gorkha region of Nepal. Mount Manaslu is in the Mansiri Himal range, the eighth-tallest mountain in the world, measuring 8163 meters. Manaslu Himal is located in the western central part of Nepal. It is regarded as the “mountain of the spirit,” having the chains of 13 different peaks altogether in its circuit. You will hear the name of Mount Kutang from Tibetatns which means a flat place on the top.

The Manaslu trekking area is less crowded and far from the flow of tourists. This trekking route offers a variety of flora and fauna, as well as views of different mountain ranges.  You are privileged to the view of different peaks. Some of them are Himalchuli (7,893 m), Ngadi Chuli (7,871 m), Shringi (7,187 m), Langpo (6,668 m), and Saula and Ganesh Himal  7422m, and Baudha Himal 6672m with Manaslu Range. This circuit trek was opened in 1991 for hikers and trekkersand you need a special hiking permit, including the Tsum Valley. This route is still used as a business trade route between Nepal and Tibet by locals to buy essentials from the Tibet side or from the Nepal side, a day trek from the Samdo village.

Manaslu Circuit Trekking around two-week hike starting from Kathmandu.  You pass along the bank of the Budi Gandaki river from Maccha khola 870 m, on the first day, up to the highest altitude of the Larky at 5106m. You will enjoy the view of paddy fields, waterfalls, mountains, an old Tibetan village, suspension bridges, glaciers, and moraines.

In terms of the difficulty, you need good physical fitness for this trek. The best season to visit this region is from March to May in the spring and from the last week of September to December during the winter. It is still calm and quiet because of the smaller number of tourists visiting this place every year. The road to the Tibetan border is being constructed, passing through Philim village, but it is not completed yet.  Stay in a comfortable mountain lodge with the facilities of good toilets, hot water, and local foods of Nepal in the Manaslu Circuit Trekking.
