Mardi Himal Trekking is short trekking in Annapurna region. In just in five to seven days of trekking hikers are able to reach the base camp of Mardi Himal at the altitude of 4500m and return back to Pokhara or Kathmandu. Mardi Himal itself is a trekking peak measuring 5587m at a lower level of popular Macchapucchere Himal (Fishtail Peak-6997m). The trek is considered as off-beaten path but the popularity of this trek has increased the flow of both Nepalese and foreign trekkers in this area. The trekking trial of Mardi Himal Base Camp is easy to walk until high camp which is located in 3600m. People accommodate in a mountain lodge at 3600m and walk to the Mardi Himal Base Camp early in the morning for the best sunrise view at the altitude of 4500m.

Mardi Himal Trek offers you the clear and close view of wonderful mountain like Fishtail, Himchuli, Annapurna South, and Dhaulagiri ranges. You will walk through the wonderful village, alpines and fertile valleys of subtropical area and mountain tea gardens. Until reaching Mardi Himal Base camp you will walk through the mountain ridge to have a stunning view of the Mardi and Fishtail mountains at the end of the viewpoint. This short trek offers a small circuit of 5 days where you reach the base camp and return back to Pokhara passing through the different route.

On the last day of the trek, trekkers can experience the home stay with locals in Siddhing now popular for organic tea garden, Gurung village and their culture, and enjoy local organic food directly from their garden.

The best season Mardi Himal Trekking is from February to May and from September-December. If you have a short time and you want to avoid the traditional route of Annapurna Trekking then Mardi Himal Trekking is the best option.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu:

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu  our airport representative will transfer you in your desired Hotel. Stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Pokhara:

We take a tourist bus or private vehicle or a scenic flight from Kathmandu to go to Pokhara. The route is 200 km away from Kathmandu generally takes six hours.  After arriving Pokhara, we take private vehicle to reach the trekking  starting point to Kande. This is the beginning point of the trek. Hike for 2 hours to reach Australian Camp. Stay overnight in the mountain lodge in Australian Camp. 2050m.

Day 3: Australian Camp to Forest Camp:

Don’t miss the first glimpse of the wonderful mountains from the Australian Camp. The excellent sunrise view from the viewpoint gives you more rejuvenate you to start your day. View of the Annapurna South, Himchuli, Annapurna I, II, III, and Lamjung Himal. Begin your trek after breakfast. Walk uphill in Rhododendron and Juniper forest with the best view of Annapurna South and Fishtail Mountain. The forest camp is a small establishment with some basic lodges surrounded by forests with the rhododendron flower. 2600m, 6 hrs of walk.

Day 04: Forest camp to High Camp:

We begin our trek early in the morning. It is a long day walk today but there are nice view of the Annapurna South and Himchuli. You will walk through high altitude meadows while you meet buffalo and grazing yaks.  Lunch in the Middle camp or Badal Danda. Stay overnight lodge in high camp. 3600m, overnight in High Camp.

Day 05: High camp at Mardi Himal-High Camp base camp. (4500m)-Kalimati/Siddhing:

Wake up early in the morning and leave hotel to reach the viewpoint of Mardi Himal. It will generally take 1.30 hours to reach the first view point at 4200m where we can enjoy tea or coffee. If you want to continue furthermore walk more two hours to reach Mardi Himal Base Camp. There is a pleasant view of Annapurna chains as you walk in the mountain ridge. Enjoy the view and descend down slowly to High Camp. Take your lunch and again descend down slowly to Sidding or Kalimati. Stay overnight in Sidding Long day walking 7 hours of walking. 1800m.

Day 6: Siddhing to Lwang (1600 m):

Today, we walk through different village with terraced rice field and stone roofed house of the ethnic group Gurung. Siddhing village is popular for organic food, mountain tea garden, and community home stay. Walk in the village and watch the village lifestyle. Overnight in the community lodge at the village. 4 hours of walk and rest day in Lwang village.

Day 7: Lwang village to Pokhara:

It generally takes 3 hours of bus or jeep ride to arrive in Pokhara from Lwang Village. Pass your day in Pokhara visiting lake city with the good memory of Mardi Himal Trekking.
