Annapurna circuit is one of the most popular treks in the Himalayan mountain range in central Nepal. The total length of the route varies between 160 and 230 km, depending on the use of vehicles on certain sections. The Annapurna region was opened to foreign trekkers in 1977 after disputes between the CIA-supported Khampa guerrillas operating in the Tibet region and the local population ended with the arrival of the Nepalese army.

This hike crosses the valleys of two rivers, the Marsyangdi v in Manang and Kali Gandaki, a tributary of the Ganges, and the deepest gorge in the world, the Mustang valley which surrounds the Annapurna massif.

Annapurna Circuit Trekking main attraction of the hikes lies in the variety of landscapes made of rice fields, subtropical forests, waterfalls, gigantic cliffs, the Tibetan valley and the village of Manang and Mustang.
