Kathmandu Valley Cultural Trek

Kathmandu Valley Cultural Trek is popular among both foreign and domestic tourist and the trek contains walking up to six-to-seven hour a day and passes through clean and green forest of Shivapuri National Park.

Itinerary Details of Kathmandu Valley Cultural Trek

Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu Valley
Arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Meet our representative at airport and after forty-five minute drive reac at the Hotel in Thamel or Hotel of your choice, Kathmandu. Visit World Heritage Site of Kathmandu, if you have a time.

 Day 02: Kathmandu to Chisapani (2200m.).
After having breakfast, drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal takes approximately one-and-half hour and the trek begins from the Shivapuri Watershed of Bagmati River. This place is a popular picnic spot among domestic tourist. The first village of Tamang is Mulkhara Village, which is situated in the slopes of the hill and by climbing uphill and staris in the village the trek renter through Shivapuri National Park through forests of Oak, Pine, and Rhododendron which wait us with beautiful sunset view during clear weather day. Overnight at Chisapni.

Day 03: Chisapani to Nagarkot (2175m).
Today trek is a bit longer and you have to take your trial immediately after having breakfast. Trek from Chisapani to Nagarkot takes about six hours and the route is not so hard. You will pass whole day with the magnificent view of Jugal Himal ranges. You will pass through the Tamang settlements before taking uphill to Nagarkot. Your Lunch will be in between during your trek. A trek of 20 km from Chauki Bhangyang to Nagrkot definitely gives you a memorable experience.  Overnight at Nagarkot.

Day 04: Nagarkot to Dhulikhel: (1650m)
Nagarkot is famous destination for all type of tourist for breathtaking view of mountain ranges. In a very clear day you can see the view of Everest from Far East to Dhaulagiri range on West. There are many hotels in Nagarkot they provide good facility to the trekkers or honeymooners and weekend destination for the people staying in Kathmandu. After wonderful sunset view, our trial lead us to Nagarkot view point from here the trek descends us to the villages of Kashi Bhanjyang, Tanchowk, and Ravi.There is a famous view point in OP’s village ahead of Dhulikhel. Continue your walk in a main road which takes 10 minutes to reach Dhulikhel. You can visit old Dhulikhel town or pass the same route towards your hotel at the beginning of thousand stairs. Overnight at the hotel in Dhulikhel.

Day 05: Dhulikhel to Namobuddha:
Our trek today right after breakfast. We will climb thousand stairs to reach at the viewpoint of Kali Temple. The viewpoint tower was partially damaged by April 2015 earthquake. Similarly, the Buddha Peace Garden was also closed because of several damaged in the statue. However, we will climb viewpoint tower of Kali temple. Our trek then moves to Namobuddha Bhangyang which is downhill from Kali temple. From Bhangyang, it climbs upwards passing Tamang Village and a Stupa and finally to Namo Buddha Resort. A beautiful view of Namo Buddha Monastery would be possible from this place. Overnight at Namo Buddha Resort or Namo Buddha Monastery.

Day 05: Namobuddha to Panauti:
Namobuddha is a popular destination for many Buddhist after Lumbini which is located in the hill and the monastery is nearby. Many devotees visit here and hanged their flags in the memory of their visit or it is also the symbol of thanking Lord Buddha. The color of the flag and surrounding of Namobuddha showed its piousness and importance of this place. After visiting Namobuddha, we will descend downhill to the valley of Sankhu which is famous for the production of rice paddy, oranges, and potatoes. The valley of Sankhu then headed towards Panauti, the beautiful Newari town, situated near by two rivers, a place for cremation and famous destination for Hindus. It is rich in its Pagoda Arc style temples and old Newari settlements. Visit this place and drive to Bhaktapur. O/N at Bhaktapur.

Day 06: Panauti to Bhaktapur/Kathmandu:
On the sixth day visit the ancient town of Bhaktapur. It offers the view of oldest temple built in 14-18 century. Many old houses in the Bhaktapur were damaged by the earthquake, but there were so many other things to see. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 07: Departure to your further destination:
Our airport representative will take you and see you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
