This trek offers you the fantastic view of mountains, outstanding diverse landscape, forests of oak, pine, and rhododendron and six different ethnicities in a district and some ethntic groups are in the verge of disappearance while their population is very low.  Majhis (Fishermen) and Kusundas falls on this category.

During this trail, you can able to meet local Shamans (Jhankris) in the Agleshowri or Sailung Peak or Khandadevi Tempel which is one of the popular religious destinations of the people living in this area. On the entire trek stay in Local Home-Stay, meet with locals, eat with them, share your experiences, and learn their culture and tradition, eat Nepali meal (Dal-Bhat), drink Chhyang (Nepali Rice Beer) or Fish Barbeque in Lubhughat. It is a trial where you can meet less tourists and more local people.

Whenever you meet locals during the trek they offer a greetings of “Lhaso” or “Namaste” and each day you will able to meet with people of different ethnic group. Sailung Peak Trek or Ramechap trek which lies in an elevation of 3170m above the sea level and it is 130km east of Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu.

You would definitely visit Sailung Peak surrounded by Rhodeddron forest and fantastic view of mountain range like Gauri-Shanker, hills of Kalinchowk, hill of Agleshowri and other mountains. There is a famous Sun Koshi River flowing along the south and the trek trials end in Lubughat. The total trekking routine falls entirely in the Mahabharat range and within six-to-nine day one can finish the entire trek and can be elongated according to your choice.

Itinerary Details of Your Trek to Ramechap

Day 01: Kathmandu- Dhunge-Thulo Sailung 2950m (6-7 hour) Following road transportation from Kathmandu-Mudhe-Dhunge takes about five-six hour. The trek starts from Dhunge to Thulo Sailung takes about two hours provides view of Himalayan and Hills panoramic view and in March and April there are varieties of Rhododendron flowers welcomes you in this route. The stunning view of Mount Gaurishankar and Kalichowk is on the North side of the Thulo Sailung. Stay in the community lodge in Thulo Sailung.

Day 02: Thulo Sailung-Khola Kharka-Doramba (2050 m) 6 hours trek After sunshine view in Sailung peak our trek descends down to Kholakharka Sano Sailung sacred caves, Tigerrocks and Chhortens. Thulo Sailung is a religious place for Tamang people Sailung Phoi (White male lord of the earth). During trek, we have to pass from the pine and rhododendron forest and view of different types of birds and it also passes through Rajveer Gumba before reaching Doramba. Stay overnight at Doramba in a local resort.

Day 03:( Rest day 2050 m) Stay a day in Doramba and visit Agleshowri Temple and from the resort there is a good view of mountain range. Short walk in the hill to have a magnificent view of hills of Mahabharata ranges and valleys and enjoy Tamang culture and meet with Jhankri (Shamans) in the festive season in Agleshowri temple and around the village of Doramba.

Day 04: Doramba-Galpa-Bethan (1930m): (6 hours) After our breakfast the trial then follows to Galpa Bazar few hours of uphill and downhill climb. Visit in Galpa bazaar passing through pine forest. Visit Khadadevi temple passing through village of Galpa. Our trial then continues to the village of Bethan. Stay in a local Tamang House. Visit Bethan Village. Overnight in Bethan.  

Day 05: Bethan to Lubhughat: (700 m) From Bethan village to Lubughat by jeep or by walk it takes about 3-4 hours to reach and overnight stay at home-stay. Swim in Sun Koshi River, Rafting, fishing, and fish barbeque party.  

Day 06: Lubhughat to Dhulikhel: Our stay will be at Dhulikhel when returning from Lubhughat. Visit ancient Dhulikhel market and view point of Dhulikhel climbing 1000 stairs. Overnight at Dhulikhel.

Day 07: Dhulikhel-Bhaktapur-Kathmandu After our breakfast we will headed to ancient city of Bhaktapur.Visit World Heritage site which includes royal palace, Nyatpola temple, Pottery square, and Datatraya Square. Lunch in Bhaktapur after visit and returen to Kathmandu. Free time in Kathmandu for shopping.

Day 08: Departure to the International Airport Our representative will take you to the airport to bid you farewell till we see you back again.
