Panchase Trek

Panchase trek is one of the best trekking areas from Pokhara which offers the view of MacchapuchareDhaulagiriAnnapurnaLamjung and Manaslu mountain ranges. Panchase Trekking is a short and sweet trek of three to four days which passes through the rural villages, Rhododendron, juniper, and Pine forest.

The terrain during Panchase Trekking involves hilly region Gurung’s settlements, rhododendron and pine forest, and breathtaking view of Lake Phewa with Annapurna mountain range. During the Panchase trek there is hide and seek play between you and mountains. In the Gurung village, you meet with local people of different ethnic groups and know about their lifestyle and culture.

The highest point of the trek is Panchase viewpoint which is situated at the elevation of 2500 meter above the sea level and it is the famous pilgrim’s site for the Hindus to worship Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. This place is not far from the Pokhara valley and suitable for the people of all fitness level.

Panchase Trekking can be extended up 10/12 including the trek of Mardi Himal, or Ghandruk Village or visiting Pokhara, Lumbini, and Chitwan National Park.

Panchase Trekking Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport. Our airport representative will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel in the tourist hub of Thamel. Stay overnight at the Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour in UNESCO World Heritage Sites Kathmandu Royal Palace and House of Living Goddess Kumari, Swyambhunath Stupa (Ancient Buddhist Stupa), and Bouddhanath Stupa (largest Buddhist Stupa in Kathmandu Valley).

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara and sightseeing tour of Lakeside and Pokhara valley. It will take about 7 hours to cover a distance of 200 km to Pokhara by tourist bus. Enjoy the scenic view of the Trishuli and Marsyandi river and ride through busiest Highway in Nepal. Explore lake city of Pokhara and enjoy the dinner with traditional Nepali dance.

Day 04: Pokhara -to- Bhumdi (1650m) 5 hours walk. Our trek starts after a good breakfast in Pokhara Hotel. We will take a bus ride or private car ride for 45 minutes to reach There Khola and then our trek begins our trek to the Gurung village of Bhumdi. A slow walk in the Gurung village with some stairs will lead us to Gurung Village of Bhumdi where you will pass your overnight in one of the homestays in the village. Enjoy the first ray of sunlight over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges with a spectacular view of Lake Phewa and Pokhara valley.  Overnight in Bhumdi.

Day 5: Bhumdi-to-Panchase (2030m) 6 hours walk. We will walk today a little bit more to reach the Panchase hill passing through rhododendron, cedar, pine and juniper forest. On the first part of the trekking, we will pass through in the forest of rhododendron and oak playing hide and seek with mountains. Sometimes we will encounter with herds of buffaloes. In the second half, enjoy a picnic with a packed lunch in the middle of the forest and take a short nap.  We will continue for our second half walk to reach the Panchase hill basecamp at 2030m. The second half of the short walking will be on a wider road for two hours. The mountains views are always in front of us. Enjoy the sunset view from Panchase hill. Overnight in a lodge at Panchase.

Day 6: Panchase -to- Bhadaure (1965m) Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the early sunshine. The viewpoint is 1 hour uphill walk from our hotel. A smooth walk will take you to the upper viewpoint. Those who cannot walk can enjoy the same view from the downside. You can able to see the famous mountains like Fishtail 6997m, Annapurna South 7241m, Himchuli, Annapurna I, II, III, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu ranges. The first glimpse of the ray of the sun over the mountains is extraordinary. Come back to the hotel enjoy your lunch and continue to Bhadure village passing through rhododendron forest. 4 hours of walk. Take a jeep ride from Bhadaure village to Pokhara or you can extend your trek to the Australian Camp, a famous viewpoint.  Stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 7: Rest day in Pokhara. Explore Pokhara’s World Peace Stupa and Begnas lake or back to Kathmandu by a late flight.

Day 8: Take an international flight back to own country or another destination.
