It is an alternative route for the Ghorpani/Poonhill trek with exhilarating view of Dhaulagiri, Butterfly Peak, Annapurna South, Gurje Himal, Macchapucchere, Annapurna 1, Buddha Himal and Manaslu along with oak, rhododendron and spruce forest. This is also community based trekking started few years back in ecotourism concept model for the development of the Magar community residing in the Annapurna region.

The mountainous view is equally stunning or better as compared to Ghorepani/Poonhill Trek. The most interesting part of this trek are less crowded, less stairs, direct sunrise view from the community lodge. This is suitable for those people who want to gain a fabulous first-time-trekking experience in Nepal. This trek can be completed within 5 days starting from the Pokhara city and it ends in Pokhara city.
How to reach Mohare Danda (hill) Trekking?
The trek starts from Pokhara, which is 200 km away from Kathmandu, the popular tourist town in Nepal. Drive to Beni, Myagdi which takes generally 3.30 hr in a bus or by jeep it will take less time along the bank of the Modi river and then pass through the road nearby the bank of Kali Gandaki river. From Beni, trek to Banskharka climbing uphill with the stunning view of newly developed town of Beni. Climbing few hours will take you up to the unpaved village road of Banskharkha, a popular village for orange production. Enjoy the tasty orange if you visit during the month of November and December. On the second day follow the route to Nagi village enjoy lunch at Dandakateri in a community lodge and few hours walk to DandaKateri village leads to Nagi Village. At Nagi village do not forget to visit Nepali Paper (Lokta) factory and the community school. Begin third day trek taking packed lunch passing through rhodedendro, pine and spruce forest. Lunch break with the stunning views of Hills and Dhaulagiri Mountain. Finally, arrived to Mohare Danda at the altitude of 3300m. Wake up early in the morning to enjoy sunrise view from 3300m, Annapurna and Manaslu Chains and merge yourself in the nature. Then, Walk down to Tikot, a beautiful village with 200 household with the stunning views of the mountains in front of you. Stay overnight in Tikot, a beautiful village situated in 2200m. From Tikot return back to Beni and then to Pokhara on the fifth day and relax.
