    From North-East to South-West Nepal’s largest area is covered by mountains, hills, and plain regions. Each region of Nepal has its own potentials for tourism activities. Explorers always find different cultural, societal, and traditional difference in each region of Nepal.  Khaptad valley trek lies in far western part of the Nepal. It is the pious place for Hindus, Buddhist as well as nature explorer.

    The place is name after the famous sage Khaptad Baba who stayed here in this place since 1940s and had a spiritual practice. The Park is rich for diverse habitats of coniferous forest, hardwood, scrub and grassland. A total of 217 species of birds, 18 species of mammals, 567 species of flowering plants including 4 endemics, 15 species of butterflies have been recorded form the area. This area is declared as a National Park in 1984 and it is less visited area by the foreign tourist. The maximum elevation of Khaptad National Park is 3300m.

    Khaptad Valley Trek could be destination for many other trek in far western region like Ramrosan,s area of 12 small lakes and 18 green pastures and also Rara Lake Trek, Jumla Limi Valley Trek. It is the one of the greatest scenic destination and it is also popular for the Khaptad lake and Spritual Asharam of Khaptad Baba and mountains like Api and Saipal Himal. The best season to visit Khaptad valley are March-May and September-December.

    Itineary Details of Nepal’s Far Western  Khaptad Valley Trekking

    Day 01: Arrival in Nepal. Our international airport representative will pick you from the airport and transfer to the Hotel of your choice.

    Day 02: Visit World Heritage site of the Kathmandu, Swyambhunath, and Lalitpur.

    Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. Drive to Doti District passing the Terai region crossing Karnali river and stay at the place of Budhi Tola.

    Day 04: Drive to Gopighat, camp on the other side of Suspension bridge over the Seti river.

    Day 05: Trek to Dehimandu (1848m): It is the good scenic place. Mandu literally means temples. There are several mandus in the Khaptad area. Overnight at the tented camp in Dehimandu.

    Day 06: Trek to Mattepani (2253m). Hill trek with the view of Seti River valley in the country side.

    Day07: Trek to Khaptad Tribeni 3110m. Beautiful view of Mount Saipal and Api Himalayan range.

    Day 08: Explore Khaptad Area.

    Day 9: Trek To Buki Daha: Trek in the Khaptad area continues. Easy hike with beautiful view of mountain and landscapes.

    Day 10: Trek down to Sajhaghat.

    Day 11: Drive to Bardia National Park.

    Day 12: Rest and explore in National Park. Jungle safari activities, rafting in Karnali river, and jungle walk.

    Day 13: Drive to Nepalgunj. Take afternoon flight to come back to Kathmandu.

    Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu to own destination.
