Everest Three High Passes Trek is one of the exciting and adventurous trekking trails in the Everest Himalayas of Nepal which crosses three high passes in Everest Region –Kogma La Pass-5535m, Cho La Pass-5420m, and Renjo La Pass (5340m). It is a unique trek that also gives us the opportunity to reach on the Everest Base Camp, Kalapatthar, Gokyo valley and tour around Gokyo Lake. Everest Three High Passes Trekking is the combination of natural beauty, geological richness, and cross-cultural discovery of Sherpa community residing in Khumbu region. Trekking in Everest Three High Passes satisfy the need of the people who are determined in crossing these challenging high passes without much technical climbing.
While crossing Renjo-La Pass, we have to pass through ancient caravan route to the Tibet and there is mountain valley of Nag pa-La and Gokyo. The route of Renjo La Pass offers to see you ancient Sherpa settlements, Sherpa Cultures, and Buddhist religion and it is considered an easy pass in comparison to other two passes. Similarly, for Cho La Pass Trek, we will pass through Namche Bazar and Khumjung village and trek further up to the magnificent Gokyo valley which offers us the great views of glacial lakes, mountain moraines, stunning views of Cho-Oyu and Gyanchungkang. During Chola-La Pass Trek we have an opportunity to climb to the Gokyo-Ri the best viewpoint for the breathtaking views of Everest, Makalu, and Lhotse. Finally, Kongma la pass offers the beautiful views of Mt. Amadablam, Mount Thamserku, Mount Kangtenga and other numerous mountains and icy lakes, set our foot in Everest Base Camp, and Kalapatthar Viewpoint for the stunning close up view of Mt. Everest, Lhoste, Nuptse and other Himalayan peaks in front of you.

Itinerary Details of Everest Three High Passes Trekking
Day 01: Arriving in Kathmandu (1350m) Arrival in International Airport of Kathmandu and our airport representative will pick you from the airport. Transfer to Hotel and discussion of the trek with us. Free timing in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu – Lukla (2840m) – Phakding Fly from Kathmandu from the domestic airlines which will normally take 35 minutes and then 3 hours walking to Phakding (2610m). Overnight at Lodge in Phakding.
Day 03: Phakding – Namche (3240m)- 6 hours of walking. The trekking trail leads towards Namche crossing suspension bridge and easy uphill towards Monjo from where Everest (Sagarmatha National Park) begins. Then drop down to the river and cross another suspension bridge at the and continue to walk through the bank of the river and ascend little bit up to cross another high suspension bridge that leads to Namche Bazar. A beautiful view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Kusum Khangru and more with the beautiful valley. Stay overnight at the Lodge.
Day 04 Rest day Acclimatize in Namche: This day, you hike to Khumjung village, Everest View Hotel from where you can see best of Mt. Everest and other mountains. It takes 4 hours walking for round trip and the rest day you can search the marketplace in Namche. Overnight in Namche.
Day 05: Namche – Thame (3800m,) is 4 hours walking: The trek further leads to Thame village which takes us 4 hours of walk. Visit oldest Thame Monastery. Thame is a popular village of Everest Climbers. and stay overnight in Thame in Lodge.
Day 06: Thame – Lumde 4600m It takes 6 hours walking from Thame to Lungdeng (Lumde) passing through the bank of the Bhote Koshi River walking with the view of mountains and valleys. Overnight in Lumde at the lodge.
Day 07: Lumde–via Renjo-La Pass (5360m)- Gokyo Lake(4800m: This day you will cross Renjo-La at 5360m. The view from Renjo-La Pass is amazing with the view of Mt. Everest, Nupste, Gokyo lake. Descend down to Gokyo Lake crossing Renjo-La to the Gokyo Lake. Climb on the top of the ridge of Gokyo Lake to have a wonderful view of the surrounding area. Overnight at Gokyo Lake.
Day 08: Rest day in Gokyo and explore 5th Lake: Gokyo valley has 5 different lakes formed by glaciers. Explore all the three lakes around Gokyo if you want furthermore visit then exploreth the 5th lake in Gokyo Valley with a close view of Cho-Oyu and Mount Everest.
Day 09: Gokyo – Gokyo RI – Thangnak: Today we have to start our trek early in the morning to reach Gokyo Ri Peak at (5330m) in the morning (4.30 hours walking) for sunrise and all mountain views. We have to walk through the longest Ngozump glacier of Nepal. You can able to hear the sound of the rock falling in small glacial lakes. It is advised to trek this path early in the morning then move down to Thangnak for the overnight stay. Overnight stay in Lodge at Thagnak.
Day 10: Dragnak via Cho-La Pass 5420m– Dzongla 4830m: Leave the lodge as early as possible to reach Chola-Pass. It is a steep climb and there is Buddhist prayers flag on the top from where you can have a splendid view of the different mountains. Descend down from Chola pass to Zhongla at 4830m. 6/7 hours of walk and overnight in Lodge in Dzongla.
Day 11: Zhonglha – Lobuche 4910m It takes 3-4 hours walking from Zhonglha to reach Lobuche (4910m) and then overnight at Lodge. The view around Everest Glacier. Overnight at Lobuche.
Day 12: Lobuche – Ghorakshep – Everest Base Camp 5380m: Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5140m, takes 3-4 hours of walk. Once you reach Gorakshep take lunch here and continue to Everest Base Camp at 5380m and back to Gorakshep further takes 3 hours. Overnight at Lodge in Gorakshep.
Day 13: Ghorakshep – Kalapather 5550m– Lobuche 4910m: To have a close and best view of Mount Everest start your hiking towards Kalapatthar early in the morning. The panoramic view of the Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Thamserku, Mera Peak and many more during sunrise time looks fantastic. Capture your moments in your camera and then back to Gorakshep further trek down to Lobuche. Overnight in Lobuche.
Day 14: Lobuche – Kongma-La Pass (5535m)- Chhukung (4730m) Today is the hardest day of the entire pass. It is a long way up to Kongma La pass which further descends steeply down to Chhukung valley. 7/8 hours of trek and overnight in Chukkung.
Day 15: Chhukhung – Tengboche 3860m Trek from Chhukhung to Tengboche monastery (3860m, 4-5 hours of walk and finally rest of the day explore Tengboche Monastery and surrounding area. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 16: Tengboche – Jorsalle Trek from Tengboche to Jorsalle (2740m, 5-6 hours walking) following the path of Namche and then overnight at Lodge.
Day 17: Jorsalle – Lukla 2840m Trek from Jorsalle to Lukla (2853m, 5-6 hours walking) and then overnight at Lodge.
Day 18: Lukla – Kathmandu: Fly back to Kathmandu early in the morning if the weather permitted us (35 minutes) Free day in Kathmandu and overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 19: Departure your home country after successfully completing your journey in Nepal.
